How does it work?

Laser light is used along your skin in the areas you want to remove, targeting your hair follicles. Damage is caused to the base of your hair follicle, disabling its ability to grow quickly in future. After each treatment, you’ll notice a reduction in the amount of hair growing in that area. Once the full course of laser hair removal is completed, the hair will stop growing back.

When are results noticeable?

After the first two sessions, you should notice significant hair reduction, however, everybody is different, and we recommend a full course of laser hair reduction to notice optimum results. Because laser hair reduction targets hair at a specific stage of growth, we usually recommend a course of 6 to 8 sessions over 4 to 10 weeks apart. Your specialist will assess and recommend the ideal treatment plan along with the best laser technology for your individual needs.

procedure step-by-step

The first step is a complimentary consultation with one of our medical aesthetic consultants. We will go over your medical history and assess your areas of concern to make sure laser hair removal is right for you. Then, we will explain the treatment process and select the most effective and best laser hair reduction technology for your needs. Once you decide to go ahead with the procedure, another appointment will be arranged with our Image Spa MD practitioners.

Before your treatment, your skin must be perfectly clean, without lotions, oils, creams or fragrances.

We will ask you to shave the treatment area with a razor, 24 hours prior your appointment. Do not wax, tweeze or use chemical depilatories before or between laser treatments.

Upon arrival for your laser hair removal, the skin will be prepped thoroughly. The treatment will give a warming sensation as the laser moves along the skin and targets the individual hair follicles underneath.

You may experience some redness on the skin after treatment, lasting no longer than 24 hours*. We advise avoiding direct sunlight and heat treatments for 24 hours after having laser hair removal treatment. We also recommend you wear SPF on areas that cannot be covered up.
