The 2940 Fractional Laser uses a very precise laser beam that creates microfractional channels deep in the skin’s sub-layers. When are results noticeable?
You will notice immediate results on your first session and about a week out of each treatment. Maximum results will be visible with 3 to 5 months as collagen renew months following your last session. For best results, we generally recommend 3 to 4 treatments scheduled four weeks apart. The first step is a complimentary consultation with one of our medical aesthetic consultants. We will review your medical history, discuss your concerns, and ensure that the 2940 Fractional Laser is right for you. We will then explain the treatment thoroughly, and book your treatment or spot test, if necessary.
Before your treatment, your skin must be clean, without lotion, oils, creams or fragrances. Your specialist may recommend a spot test 3 to 5 days before the treatment to ensure that you are a good candidat. You will also be informed on the pre-treatment requirements to ensure you are prepared.
Your specialist will thoroughly cleanse your skin prior the procedure and apply numbing cream to the treatment areas for more comfort. The laser will precisely target a fraction of your skin at a time leaving the rest of the surrounded tissue untouched. This process will kick start your skin’s natural healing process promoting new collagen.
You should expect redness, sensitivity, and a sunburn sensation. The next few days following the procedure, your skin will start to peel off, shedding all the dead cells and replacing them with brand new ones. You will be advised to follow a specific homecare regimen after the treatment.
